DESCRIPTION:Enrolling Now: Summer Science Camps!\n\n \n\nLooking for an opportunity to energize and engage your middle school teenager this summer? Join us for a week of exciting in-person science and engineering activities that will inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers!\n\n\n\nWeek-long\, half-day sessions run June 21 through July 2\, 2021 in Livermore and are open to all students in grades 6-8th. Scholarships available for families with financial need.\n\n\n\nOur summer camps fully engage participants by using real materials and tools. All activities are hands-on and promote critical thinking and problem solving skills. Attend one or both half-day camps:\n\n\n\nVOLTS: Lit Electrons -Create projects powered by electricity and magnetism! Explore electrical current\, circuits\, and magnets to build your own electric devices including LEDs\, motors\, speakers\, electronic games\, and wind turbine generators with support from local scientists.\n\n\n\nBOLTS: Mechanical Marvels - Tackle daily engineering design challenges! Design and build simple machines\, bridges\, cars\, rockets and more using everyday materials. Use cell phone apps to improve ideas.
